How does it work?
Badges and asset tags with unique IDs constantly report their location to ceiling-mounted infrared/radio frequency receivers.
We establish a clinical-grade standard by combining safe, invisible infrared (IR) light and the communication capabilities of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). This provides the most precise locating technology available to healthcare.
Staff, patients, visitors, and assets can all then be located and tracked in real time to deliver operational workflow efficiencies.

Integral Nurse Call Automation
A common request is Nurse Call Automation. As nurses enter the room, their ‘presence’ is automatically registered and time-stamped. The active ‘presence’ condition will automatically reset as they leave the room. This also captures nurse rounding data.

Automatic Presence, Patient/Staff Location
Entry-level location solutions provide automatic nurse presence. For example, when a nurse enters a patient’s room, the appropriate ‘nurse present’ light illuminates and the patient call light turns off. On exiting, the overdoor light will change to indicate that the carer is no longer present. There is no need to remember to manually press a button to reset the 'nurse present' status and the system will keep a log of all interactions between patients and staff.
Always Know Where Staff Are
The Automatic Prescence location feature offered by the RTLS can be employed to quickly and easily locate fellow colleagues on one of our ‘glance and go’ electronic whiteboards. This is an increasingly sought after feature.
Asset Tagging
